About the role
- Responsible for reviewing flight and maintenance manuals for airborne and ground-based mission systems.
- Communicate with contacts to explain and interpret operational processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications.
- Compile and structure researched technical information for documentation reviews.
- Perform formatting, grammatical, and technical reviews for documentation.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards and relevant regulations.
- Work closely with management to stay updated on project budgets and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of technical writing experience in an aerospace-driven environment or within the defense industry.
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of technical writing experience in an aerospace-driven environment or within the defense industry.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of technical writing experience in an aerospace-driven environment or within the defense industry.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker and Microsoft Office.
