About the role

  • Control the movement of materials, records and parts needed for various programs
  • Perform manual, clerical, and data entry/analysis tasks related to receiving, movement, storage, inventory tracking, disbursement, packaging and shipping
  • Record information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system
  • Participate in inventory cycle counting process, enter and track data in spreadsheets and the company MRP system, analyze data for problems and report those problems to the Logistics Manager
  • Package and handle materials within company guidelines
  • Ensure all materials requiring inspection are moved to the proper locations
  • Separate and move materials, equipment and supplies to/from stores, warehouses, departments, and manufacturing areas
  • Verify inspection stamps, signatures, quantities and acceptance tags or labels post-inspection
  • Work independently in a warehouse environment
  • Provide customer service by interacting with Planners, Buyers, Engineering and Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Logistics experience
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
  • Experience in HazMat/explosives handling, packaging and shipping a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a plus
  • Experience with MRP systems or Oracle a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to process improvements.
