About the role
- Appointed FSO, responsible for Facility Clearance submittal and approval process in NISS
- Developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified, sensitive, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
- Ensuring program compliance with all corporate and government requirements and directives
- Researching and implementing federal security regulations
- Obtaining rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Preparing manuals outlining regulations, establishing procedures for handling, storing, retaining records, and access by personnel or visitors to restricted records and materials
- Conducting security education training and security audits
- Investigating security violations and preparing reports specifying preventive action to be taken
- Collecting, assimilating, and interpreting intelligence information and disseminating to appropriate stakeholders or investigating authority
- Processing and managing subcontract DD254s and disseminating to the GCA as required
- Implementation of NISPOM, eFCR 32, part 117, and DoDM 5200.01 volumes 1-4, and IC Directives
- Communicating with parties within and outside of the organization including customers or vendors
- Conducting self-inspections and participating in government industrial security assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
- Experience with security processes and procedures within the DoD and IC communities
