About the role
- Implement S2 policies, procedures and standards that drive a preventive, zero defect culture of quality
- Assess and audit new and existing internal as well as supplier capabilities
- Visit suppliers to review product & process issues and perform investigations
- Work proactively utilizing tools such as APQP and Zero-Defect Planning
- Initiate and drive root cause corrective action (RCCA)
- Analyze in-house and supplier performance and develop improvement plans
- Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Concepts to drive improvements
- Review flow down of Program Quality requirements
- Review and disposition First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Working knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and PLM (Project Lifecycle Management)
- Experience with CCA manufacturing and production environment
- Ability to perform technical problem-solving and work closely with production personnel and upper management
