About the role
- Designing production tooling such as jigs, fixtures, gages, and molds
- Applying design and structural analysis principles using CAD/CAM software
- Conducting research and preparing technical data packages
- Utilizing engineering metrology equipment and implementing Additive Manufacturing techniques
- Coordinating design activities to meet budget and schedule
- Addressing design constraints and solving engineering challenges
- Producing tool design drawings and technical data packages
- Managing projects with general supervision
- Excellent communication skills for technical documents interpretation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of aircraft tool design experience
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of aircraft tool design experience
- In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of aircraft tool design experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience with Technical Data Package (TPD) Development
- Model Based Definition (MBD)
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
