About the role
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing plans and processes.
- Collaborate with teammates and suppliers to address and resolve issues.
- Drive continuous improvements and uphold quality standards.
- Take ownership of the manufacturing process from start to finish.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and requirements.
- Develop work instructions that technicians can easily follow.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with manufacturing and assembly of space hardware.
- Experience working within ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP.
- Experience working within PLM software to manage parts, assemblies and documentation.
- Proficiency in machining, GD&T and assembly processes.
- Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing processes.
