About the role
- Provides weekend engineering support for mixing and casting rocket motors
- Focuses on process improvements and performance tracking to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Solves complex, multi-disciplinary problems through creative analysis and prior experience
- Supports all onsite propellant compositions and may supervise weekend subscale operations
- Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes and practices
- Investigates and determines root causes of problems, develops and implements corrective and preventive actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineer experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineer experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineer experience
- Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Statistical Analysis experience
- Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
- Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts
