About the role

  • Provides weekend engineering support for mixing and casting rocket motors
  • Focuses on process improvements and performance tracking to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Solves complex, multi-disciplinary problems through creative analysis and prior experience
  • Supports all onsite propellant compositions and may supervise weekend subscale operations
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes and practices
  • Investigates and determines root causes of problems, develops and implements corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineer experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineer experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineer experience
  • Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Statistical Analysis experience
  • Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
  • Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts
