About the role

  • This position is for a Senior Member of Engineering Staff (SMES) for the Command, Control, and Communications (C3) programs within the C3S Engineering organization.
  • The Communications Systems Engineer is responsible for developing integrated communication systems for both internal and external comms.
  • The role will involve analyzing system requirements, performing signal processing, and data analysis.
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration, testing and validation of the overall system architecture.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience with design, development and delivery of next-generation products for our maritime customers.
  • Experience with design, operation, and maintenance of military communications and information systems, including experience with shipboard communication systems such as satellite communications, radios and antennas, as well as telephony systems and data networks.
  • Master’s degree desired.
  • Active Security Clearance preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; works with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and effectively communicate changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, exercising strong initiative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
