About the role

  • Lead system engineering efforts for the upgrade and sustainment of the Eglin Phased Array Radar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain the system architecture, ensuring alignment with Government Reference Architecture and overarching Acquisition Reference Architecture utilizing digital engineering tools.
  • Support the development of digital and operational architectures for Missile Warning & Defense (MWMD) Pursuits.
  • Utilize DOORS, SysML, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence for system modeling and requirement management.
  • Develop requirements, ICDs, VCRM, & Use cases inside of a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Experience with Eglin, Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR), or Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS).
  • Experience in engineering and architecture, with a background in requirements definition and system modeling.
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer or equivalent role, with a focus on system upgrade and operations, maintenance, & sustainment.
  • Understanding and practical experience with AGILE methodologies.
  • Skilled in the use of network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, and other relevant RF test equipment.
  • Experience with identifying and addressing obsolescence issues and implementing modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with requirements definition, verification, and validation processes.
  • Experience with Radar Cross-Section (RCS) analysis, calibration techniques, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with Government Reference Architecture and Acquisition Reference Architecture development.
  • Experience with DOORS, SysML, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence.
