About the role
- Assembly of complex mechanical systems/products.
- Testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies & systems.
- Extensive experience in electronic assembly, hand soldering and self-inspection.
- In-depth knowledge of IPC-610 and/or J Standard 001.
- Record and report production data into SAP.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly/test processes.
- Follow all safety and quality control procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce production costs.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years formal electronic technology training
- In lieu of formal training, 4 or more years of experience assembling or testing electronics components.
- Ability to interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical diagrams, and process flows/standards.
- Experience in troubleshooting electronic circuits to the component level, using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, frequency generators, logic analyzers, spectrum and network analyzers.
- Able to obtain IPC-610, IPC620, and J Standard 001 certifications on the first try or within two attempts.
- In-depth knowledge of IPC-610 and/or J Standard 001.
- Ability to read and understand BOMs (Bills of Materials), Parts Lists, and other technical documentation relevant to the testing process.
- Experience with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and precision in work.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot testing issues.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.
