About the role

  • Lead the test effort through the product life cycle activities ranging from program inception, requirements analysis, testability, test architecture, integration, and production support activities.
  • Define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and sub-contractors.
  • Provide mastery-level system integration and test engineering expertise and technical leadership to a team during verification activities.
  • Responsible for leading the development of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) designs to meet all technical requirements.
  • Generate test documentation (e.g., Test Requirements Documents, Test Design Documents, Test Plans and Test Procedures)
  • Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the system test and integration tasks.
  • Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes in collaboration with the development team.
  • Represent SI&T during major design reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR/CDR, IRR, I&T, final sell-off.
  • Travel to support integration activities and post-delivery support as required.
  • Ability to work extended and weekend hours as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 9 years of engineering experience OR Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience of System Integration and Test (SI&T), large system engineering
  • Secret Clearance preferred
  • Top Secret desired.
  • Experience testing military or space qualified hardware designs
  • Experience with hardware and software requirements testability, definition, block diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and software & hardware integration
  • Experience with requirements derivation and tracking using DOORs (or equivalent)
  • Test beds and simulators design experience
  • LabVIEW and/or TestStand Programming experience
  • Experience with RF measurements and testing, tools, and test equipment including but not limited to Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Signal Generators, O-Scopes, Power Supplies
  • Familiarity with COSMOS, InControl, or other Satellite/Telemetry Tracking & Control (TT&C) Scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting languages (e.g. Java, Python, Perl, Visual Studio code)
  • Familiarity with Jira/Bit Bucket/Confluence
  • Experience in mentoring and growing technical staff
