About the role

  • Provide expert administration in a Red Hat Linux environment, ensuring optimal system performance, availability, and security.
  • This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • This position will support High Performance Compute Cluster capabilities.
  • Utilize the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to ensure systems are compliant with security policies and best practices.
  • This involves running scans, applying necessary configurations, and documenting compliance status.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of and experience with adhering to government regulations and standards, such as NIST Special Publications, NISPOM, and RMF.
  • This includes performing security assessments, implementing risk management processes, and ensuring systems meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Current/active US Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, with a focus on Red Hat Linux.
  • Strong understanding of SCAP, STIG, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and standards relating to IT and cybersecurity.
  • DOD 8140 Certification such as Security+.
  • High Performance Compute Cluster Skillset
  • Advanced certifications and training in Linux systems and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with automated deployment and management tools.
