About the role

  • Play a lead technical role in design reviews, providing expert guidance
  • Develop and validate designs using 3D CAD and analysis tools
  • Serve as a program technical lead, owning technical execution and schedule adherence
  • Perform structural and analysis utilizing classical techniques and finite element analysis
  • Conduct thermal analysis, flow analysis, and vibration analysis
  • Optimize designs for structural and thermal performance in collaboration with other designers
  • Prepare and review design documentation in accordance with contract requirements
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed (~10%)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Secret Clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate degree with 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with SiemensNX and/or Creo, and TeamCenter
  • Experience with analysis tools such as Ansys, MathCAD, and CFDesign for structural, thermal, and vibration analysis
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience transitioning designs from prototype to production, including support for Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, PADs, LabVIEW, and Xilinx
