About the role
- Responsible for the integration of instrumentation, data acquisition, and controls for testing solid fuel and liquid propulsion systems
- Interface with Design/Project Engineering to develop/interpret instrumentation requirements
- Prepare technical documentation, including software logs, test procedures, electrical schematics
- Provide training to Control Room Operators on data acquisition, calibration, and controls setup
- Recommend, propose, plan, and execute facility upgrades, equipment acquisition and installation to meet ongoing and developing test program requirements
- Occasional travel to support various programs within industry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or other closely related engineering discipline
- Minimum 4 years of prior related experience
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles: statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics/dynamics, basic electrical theory
- Experience with engineering software, including 3D Modeling/CAD software (Creo, NX, etc.) and analytical software (Matlab, Python, etc.)
- Proficient use of MSOffice software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or equivalent for generating procedures, presentations, and analysis
