About the role

  • Review/update Standard Operating Procedures related to composite structure manufacturing
  • Evaluate and implement tractable solutions to technical problems involving tape wrapped composite pressure vessel
  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, standard operating procedures, quality requirements (both customer and company), and applicable safety requirements for handling composite material
  • Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports, and presentations for customer reviews (both internal and external)
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
  • Degree in material science, composites, or related science is preferred
  • Tape wrap experience is preferred
  • Technical experience in the composite manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Tooling or component design using various CAD software packages
  • 3d printing techniques and experience
  • Experience with composite molding techniques, statistical analysis, data acquisition is a plus
  • Composite theory, compositions, and modeling are a plus.
