About the role
- Lead and execute manufacturing engineering activities for the assembly and integration of electromechanical assemblies
- Develop scalable processes from technical documentation and create manufacturing procedures and routers
- Propose, develop and lead process improvement and cost reduction projects
- Lead elements of the manufacturing process including optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts
- Lead design changes by coordinating with design engineering
- Estimate and track manufacturing costs
- Interface with and direct technicians and other operations personnel
- Support capacity planning and lab space layout support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with optical engineering a plus
- Evidence of strong problem-solving capability
- Lean (Green Belt, Black Belt) certification
- CAD training (Solid Works/AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of program and project management techniques and tools
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 industry standards
