About the role
- Coordinate, prepare, manage, and execute environmental testing projects designed to take L3Harris products to the limit of their functional and structural design.
- Lead the operation of climatic chambers designed to replicate extreme environmental conditions.
- Operate electrodynamic shakers to reproduce harsh vibration environments and test products for survivability under various conditions.
- Plan, document, coordinate, and execute environmental exposure tests on high-technology, high-value hardware produced for the defense industry.
- Support the documentation and investigation of anomalies and failures.
- Advise new programs on their qualification test planning.
- Work in a team-oriented environment in a laboratory that operates year-round.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Experience with environmental testing.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and processes and work with the engineering leadership team to resolve issues.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- People management/leadership skills.
- Candidate will work closely with Environmental Test Technicians to accomplish testing.
- Experience with avionics or space hardware test.
- Experience performing environmental testing per MIL-STD-810.
- Experience with software development (MATLAB, VBA, Python, etc.).
