About the role

  • Leads and directs team by providing direction on all facets of ME/e3.
  • Responsibilities include work prioritization, team briefings, personnel development, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
  • Partners with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, “Right the First Time”, Safety First, audit ready, and Policy & Security compliance.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, manage resources effectively, and drive team performance to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Analyze, design, and improve aerospace manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work procedures and improve workflow.
  • Optimize the layout of facilities, workspaces, and equipment to create efficient production environments.
  • Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and supply chain, to coordinate and implement engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing technologies, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure effective implementation of process improvements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to address production issues and improve product reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an industrial engineering role within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment used in aerospace production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as CAD, CAM, and simulation software.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the aerospace industry (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
