About the role
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs and policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist in daily safety interactions, sampling, observations, training, and inspections
- Conduct area inspections and audits
- Evaluate engineering design and perform safety analyses
- Plan and develop facility safety programs and associated monitoring
- Evaluate risk management control technologies
- Coordinate resolutions and provide technical expertise to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in safety, health and environment programs
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior EH&S related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior EH&S related experience
- Hazardous waste management experience (RCRA and DOT training preferred)
- Experience with life safety programs
- Full understanding of OSHA General Industry safety and health standards
- Industrial Hygiene experience
- Familiar with Job Safety Assessments and Hazard Logs
- Professional designation preferred (ASP, CSP, CIH or CHMM)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to climb a 25-foot ladder and perform inspections at heights
