About the role
- Perform and/or coordinate propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management.
- Implement design and analysis tasks and oversee special studies and experiments.
- Coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses.
- Perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while supporting the program technical lead.
- Support Engineering teams working on solid rocket motor development and production program tasks/problem resolution.
- Manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed.
- Monitor technical progress and interface with Program Management, customers, and functional organizations.
- Provide technical consultation for business development activities.
- Provide inputs to written and verbal status reports to Engineering lead and Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of pertinent codes, rules, and regulations related to areas of engineering assignments.
- Use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications.
- Systems engineering principles in Requirements and Risk & Opportunity management.
- Principles of budget and schedule management for assigned project scope, such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
