About the role
- Plan, develop, and maintain advanced processes for composite fabrication from concept through production.
- Create clear and thorough work instructions, PFMEAs, JSAs, and other process documentation.
- Support shop floor activities, troubleshoot production issues, and provide engineering guidance.
- Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to align methods with engineering intent.
- Train and mentor technicians and peers in advanced composite techniques and process best practices.
- Investigate nonconformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related engineering experience.
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Hands-on experience laying up composite parts or creating composite samples.
- Experience with filament winding (4- or 5-axis machine programming and operation).
- Familiarity with composite curing processes and oven operation/programming.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
