About the role
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of responsibilities, processes, and timeframes.
- Lead engineering change activities for product modifications and enhancements.
- Review and assess Technical Information Reviews (TIRs) that may impact PBS items.
- Conduct technical investigations into radio product issues.
- Monitor and maintain PBS items throughout their lifecycle.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from the MSC Program Office.
- Contribute to Contract Status Reports with updates on performance.
- Manage and update engineering-related plans, procedures, and documents.
- Support the organization, coordination, and execution of engineering and technical operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in the Defence industry is a preference.
- Experience in supporting small and large scale engineering projects.
- A background in sustainment will be highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA at the NV1 level)
- Knowledge of HF, VHF, UHF and Narrowband SATCOM Systems.
- Experience with mobile networking within a tactical environment and tactical data messaging.
- Knowledge of secure voice and data systems including an understanding of cryptographic equipment.
- Experience with verification, especially test procedure development.
