About the role
- Support defense propulsion manufacturing programs
- Evaluate nonconforming products and determine root cause and corrective action for defects
- Review internal manufacturing planning and external supplier process changes
- Provide innovative solutions for continuous improvement and cost reduction
- Perform failure mode effect analysis of product design disclosure documents
- Determine gage and instrumentation adequacy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred
- Experienced in conducting root cause analysis and recommending data-driven corrective actions
- CQE or LEAN / Six Sigma certifications is preferred
- Aerospace industry experience is a plus
- Experience working with and around chemicals and/or explosives is a plus
- Electrical and mechanical assembly knowledge is preferred
- Practical knowledge of project management is desired
