About the role

  • Support defense propulsion manufacturing programs
  • Evaluate nonconforming products and determine root cause and corrective action for defects
  • Review internal manufacturing planning and external supplier process changes
  • Provide innovative solutions for continuous improvement and cost reduction
  • Perform failure mode effect analysis of product design disclosure documents
  • Determine gage and instrumentation adequacy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred
  • Experienced in conducting root cause analysis and recommending data-driven corrective actions
  • CQE or LEAN / Six Sigma certifications is preferred
  • Aerospace industry experience is a plus
  • Experience working with and around chemicals and/or explosives is a plus
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly knowledge is preferred
  • Practical knowledge of project management is desired
