About the role

  • Design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations
  • Create system wiring diagrams using the Capital Harness System tool
  • Create circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
  • Responsible for research, systems integration, preparation of engineering drawings
  • Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost
  • Develop Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Sensor Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme
  • Support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft
  • Work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university
  • Master’s degree or 2+ years of applicable experience with a Bachelor degree
  • Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which require U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to travel to and from flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments (some positions will require the ability to board/exit aircraft)
  • Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary
  • Previous experience in the defense aerospace industry (preferred)
  • CAD knowledge/skills (preferred)
  • Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Siemens Capital software (preferred)
  • Understanding of basic aircraft systems (preferred)
  • Systems integration experience (preferred)
  • Active secret security clearance or higher (preferred)
