About the role
- Design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations
- Create system wiring diagrams using the Capital Harness System tool
- Create circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
- Responsible for research, systems integration, preparation of engineering drawings
- Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost
- Develop Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Sensor Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme
- Support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft
- Work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university
- Master’s degree or 2+ years of applicable experience with a Bachelor degree
- Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which require U.S. Citizenship
- Must be able to travel to and from flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments (some positions will require the ability to board/exit aircraft)
- Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary
- Previous experience in the defense aerospace industry (preferred)
- CAD knowledge/skills (preferred)
- Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter (preferred)
- Knowledge of Siemens Capital software (preferred)
- Understanding of basic aircraft systems (preferred)
- Systems integration experience (preferred)
- Active secret security clearance or higher (preferred)
