About the role
- Provide design support to engineers on technical projects and/or products, maintaining, organizing, compiling, and manipulating technical data.
- Prepares PTC Creo or Siemens NX CAD models and associative engineering drawings (product definition) using PTC Windchill PLM System.
- Performs mathematical calculations and simple tolerance analysis per engineering specifications.
- Recommend alternative design solutions to problems and obstacles.
- Checks engineering product definition for compliance and conformity to established standards, specifications, and design directives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in CAD software tools (PTC Creo or Siemens NX).
- Familiar with ASME Y14.5 and ability to read and interpret product definition and related specifications per ASME Y14.100.
- Knowledge of solid propulsion systems design and manufacturing methods is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
