About the role
- Support design, implementation, and optimization of communication network solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external teams
- Work independently on special projects
- Develop network designs based upon emerging customer requirements
- Negotiate commercial vendor products
- Develop procedures for implementing new network designs
- Manage small to large network projects
- Assess telecommunications technologies and design solutions
- Architect and engineer next-generation telco services
- Deliver tailored network implementations
- Establish and apply best practices in network design
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Must possess prior knowledge and experience with communications engineering designs, service solutions and implementation processes
- MEF 2.0 certification and/or equivalent level experience
- CCNA Certification or equivalent work experience
- Strong skill set with Microsoft Office software applications
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design, implement and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures
- Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes
- Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv
