About the role
- The Sr. Associate, Systems Engineer (SE) will be responsible for performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and/or subsystems.
- Work alongside other highly motivated engineering team members in a dynamic, fast-paced Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) environment.
- Translate the voice of the customer into system-level requirements.
- Perform requirement traceability, and verification testing.
- Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
- Write subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements.
- Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
- Create System Block Diagrams.
- Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
- Interpret complex system ICDs to new architecture designs.
- Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
- Write effective verification test procedures to ensure system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with two (2) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
- Graduate Degree with zero to two (0-2) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
- In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with systems engineering, configuration, testing, integrating, and/or verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne datalink, video, voice and data communication systems environment.
- Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
