About the role

  • Provides engineering support for the mixing and casting of rocket motor propellants
  • Implements process improvements and monitors operations and performance parameters
  • Works on significant improvements to systems, processes, and products
  • Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to processes
  • Investigates root causes of problems and develops corrective actions
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within area of expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant engineer experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineer experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineer experience
  • Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Statistical Analysis experience
  • Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
  • Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts
