About the role
- Provides engineering support for the mixing and casting of rocket motor propellants
- Implements process improvements and monitors operations and performance parameters
- Works on significant improvements to systems, processes, and products
- Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance
- Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to processes
- Investigates root causes of problems and develops corrective actions
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within area of expertise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant engineer experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineer experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineer experience
- Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Statistical Analysis experience
- Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
- Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts
