About the role

  • Support the design, documentation, and deployment of microwave systems and services
  • Work with other engineers to support and recommend resolutions to deployment issues
  • Develop plans and schedules for short-term work activities
  • Understand and apply applicable engineering processes for all deployment and testing activities
  • Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of processes
  • Conduct site surveys, create plans/reports, order, test, and pack/ship equipment
  • Manage installation team and ensure systems are installed correctly
  • Travel 15% of the time, typically 1 week per month
  • Interface and maintain good relationship with FAA customer

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field
  • Minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience installing radio and/or networking equipment in the field or lab environment
  • 5 years of experience with 2 of the following technical areas: Basic RF concepts, RF Microwave radios/hardware, and waveguide, Telco (Analog/T1) lines, Networking (Protocols, Routing, Subnetting, etc.)
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite a plus
  • Telecommunications background (Central Office/Optical/TDM/IP Networks)
