About the role
- Candidate will work with suppliers to ensure access to and alignment on technical data requirements and specifications
- Collaborate with suppliers on new product development and technological innovations
- Oversee supplier development of manufacturing baseline documentation
- Ensure timeliness of technical/manufacturing Q&A between supplier and COEs
- Author and/or review inputs to supplier validation/qualification statement of works for new processes
- Encourage suppliers to propose innovative solutions that can enhance products or processes
- Align with engineering and strategy department personnel to promote and align internal research & development (IR&D) projects
- Generate weekly status reports to management and engineering
- Travel 50% to supplier location(s) (could be some international travel as needed)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Security Clearance preferred but not necessary
- Work in manufacturing environment using basic technical skills such as drawing reviews, standard operating procedure development and/or equipment usage
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products, as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions
- Communication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders
