About the role

  • Manage and direct the day to day activities of the Product Test and Integration Team, make individual work assignments, monitor individual performance and provide technical direction to individuals in the Group and to program teams.
  • Perform difficult work on highly technical or involved projects.
  • Review and approve formal documentation for release.
  • Estimate labor, capacity, tools, equipment and other resources to operate and adhere to budget and schedule commitments.
  • Collaborate with Management (Engineering and Operations), Engineers (Mfg, Quality, Test, and Design), and Lead Test Technicians to resolve problems and suggest improvements with materials, process and/or documentation.
  • Foster communication between Operations and Engineering to share lessons learned with a focus on raising awareness within both parts of the organization.
  • Establish, refine and enforce consistent documentation and process standards across electronic design and test.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to individuals in the Group and to program teams, ensuring high standards of technical competence and achievement.
  • Support Business Development efforts including proposals.
  • Define capital, tools, equipment and other resources required by both the Product Test Function and active/future products.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to coordinate and administer programs, activities and protocols.
  • Ability to manage resources, monitor activities and assess environmental risk, safety, and quality control associated with the program.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
  • Working knowledge of in-water acoustic test processes, systems and PWB testing and troubleshooting.
  • Prior Acoustic test or Navy Sonar testing are major benefits.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
