About the role
- Provide advice and coaching to executives and managers in the resolution of their human resources management issues, as well as in the development of their management skills
- Conduct HR interventions adapted to business needs and the human aspects of operational issues
- Provide advice and expertise on working conditions and labor relations
- Work in close collaboration with your expert colleagues in the HR department to provide support to your customer in staffing, compensation, training, and Benefits
- Act as a change agent to support managers in the various organizational transformations they are implementing
- Implement various initiatives to improve HR measures, practices and policies
- Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreement
- Manage grievance procedures in a timely and effective manner to ensure speedy resolution of employee problems or concerns
- Participate in the Labor Relations Committee.
Requirements
- University Degree (Industrial Relations another related program)
- CHRP Designation an asset
- 5 years’ HR/Labor Relations experience in a unionized or non-unionized environment
- Experience in a manufacturing/aircraft maintenance environment is an asset
- In depth knowledge of Canada’s Labor Code, Human Rights Act and Employment Equity Act
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Persuasive communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Proven problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of HR Systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, SuccessFactors) is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English an asset.
