About the role

  • Provide advice and coaching to executives and managers in the resolution of their human resources management issues, as well as in the development of their management skills
  • Conduct HR interventions adapted to business needs and the human aspects of operational issues
  • Provide advice and expertise on working conditions and labor relations
  • Work in close collaboration with your expert colleagues in the HR department to provide support to your customer in staffing, compensation, training, and Benefits
  • Act as a change agent to support managers in the various organizational transformations they are implementing
  • Implement various initiatives to improve HR measures, practices and policies
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreement
  • Manage grievance procedures in a timely and effective manner to ensure speedy resolution of employee problems or concerns
  • Participate in the Labor Relations Committee.

Requirements

  • University Degree (Industrial Relations another related program)
  • CHRP Designation an asset
  • 5 years’ HR/Labor Relations experience in a unionized or non-unionized environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing/aircraft maintenance environment is an asset
  • In depth knowledge of Canada’s Labor Code, Human Rights Act and Employment Equity Act
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Persuasive communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
  • Proven problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of HR Systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, SuccessFactors) is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English an asset.
