About the role
- Manage interface between Operations Program Management, Design Engineering, and Operations
- Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments using the DoD Manufacturing Readiness level (MRL) framework
- Analyzes product/program maturity and assigns manufacturing readiness levels
- Create Manufacturing transition plans
- Provide input into new production contract proposals for Operations
- Deliver professional written and verbal communication to both internal and external stakeholders
- Lead, plans and conducts technical projects related to manufacturability, product performance, yields, and process capability
- Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, manufacturing plans and procedures
- Recommends new or improved design solutions and processes
- Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations and subsequent Root Cause, Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree & a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
- A Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in ME, EE, IE, or equivalent
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience
- Experience with wireless communication or similar systems and related system architecture
- Required experience in product development (preferably in military application environments)
- Direct experience in Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines
- Effective coordination of project(s) and efforts of technical support personnel
- Ability to productively contribute work, ideas and collaboration as part of a team
