About the role
- Provide program Quality Engineering support for assigned contracted programs spanning the lifecycle of the program including design, development, production, test and supplier support
- Ensure customer requirement flow-down and hardware compliance to specifications
- Handle and communicate deviations/non-conformances at different levels within the organization and at customer level
- Prepare comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for both internal and external customers
- Actively participate in improvement teams to reduce risk through the application of six sigma tools
- Apply zero defects quality principles, concepts and methods, including Lean Manufacturing to continuously improve processes, reduce cost and ensure quality of products and services
- Drive corrective and preventative action activity both in-house and at the Supplier
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with customer's requirements
- Participate in design reviews to identify and correct inspectability and producibility issues early in the product life cycle
- Actively participate in the Material Review Board, including segregation and control of nonconforming hardware to prevent inadvertent processing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant quality experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related quality experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related quality experience
- Advanced degree in a related field
- CQE and/or CSSBB
- APQP and or Zero Defect Planning Experience
- MDA experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations
