About the role
- develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes
- actively participate with engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products
- design manufacturing tooling for the production of solid fuel rocket motors and warheads
- develop jigs, fixtures, lifting devices, and semi-automated equipment to cast and assemble the final product
- investigate and make decisions regarding design factors such as ease of manufacture, material availability, specifications, and costs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- minimum 4 years of prior design engineering experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior design engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior design engineering experience
- 3 years of experience in the design of tooling to support manufacturing
- 2 years of experience using a solid modeling program such as Unigraphics NX, Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD Inventor, Catia, CREO or Solid Works
- Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
