About the role
- Serve as a subject matter expert with comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of program management
- Direct all phases of assigned programs from inception through completion
- Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial (P&L) objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact for program activities, leading reviews to discuss cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk
- Manage external relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and international customers
- Lead program risk management activities to identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Oversee key performance indicators related to cost, schedule, and performance requirements across the full program life cycle, including development, implementation, and operations
- Develop and maintain a proactive risk management program
- Manage program budgets and ensure accurate financial execution and forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company policies and procedures
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Knowledge of communication and data link products
- Experience managing programs using EVMS principles
- Experience leading cross-functional, product-based programs for international customers
- Experience managing multiple phases of the program life cycle (Bid & Proposal, Development, Production, Sustainment)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and build relationships with geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in one or more additional languages
