About the role

  • Serve as a subject matter expert with comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of program management
  • Direct all phases of assigned programs from inception through completion
  • Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial (P&L) objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program activities, leading reviews to discuss cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk
  • Manage external relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and international customers
  • Lead program risk management activities to identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Oversee key performance indicators related to cost, schedule, and performance requirements across the full program life cycle, including development, implementation, and operations
  • Develop and maintain a proactive risk management program
  • Manage program budgets and ensure accurate financial execution and forecasting
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • Knowledge of communication and data link products
  • Experience managing programs using EVMS principles
  • Experience leading cross-functional, product-based programs for international customers
  • Experience managing multiple phases of the program life cycle (Bid & Proposal, Development, Production, Sustainment)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build relationships with geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages
