About the role
- Support the Air Force’s IDHC program
- Requirements management, design support, reviews, test development, installation, testing, and on-call support for a 24/7 operational system
- Work with Cisco routers & switches
- Work with SATCOM ground infrastructure
- Work with DOORS for requirement management
- Use Microsoft Visio for drawing development and management
- Develop and execute system-wide testing
- Support RMF processes in cybersecurity
- Work well in a team and meet quarterly release deadlines
- Travel 4-5 times per year
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- US DoD Security Clearance: TS/SCI preferred
- Professional certification specific to the networking industry such as CCNA or equivalent
- DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CISSP, or equivalent
- Ability to travel, up to 15%
- Experience with network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)
- Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection
- Experience with IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Strong understanding of features like GRE, IPSEC, DMVPN, GetVPN, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast
- Strong understanding network security features like IP access-lists, stateful protocol inspections, and Next-Gen firewalls
- Familiar with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS
- Ability to communicate well, including proficiency with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Visio
- Familiar with network management applications, like Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE
- Exposure to the Risk Management Framework, associated security controls, and STIGs
- Familiar with Windows, Linux, VMWare, and container configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures
- Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical quarterly deadlines
