About the role

  • oversee a Business Area headquartered in Clifton, NJ
  • accountable for all aspects of financial performance
  • earned value reporting and compliance of large complex programs
  • on time and accurate submission of financial deliverables (internal and external)
  • financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • leading Business Area Annual Operating Plan and the Joint Strategic Plan financial processes
  • partnering with the General Manager, Program Managers and functional leadership teams to develop and execute Business Area near term and long term strategy
  • ensure cross functional effectiveness
  • ensure Business Area adherence to financial policies, practices and procedures
  • assess business risk and develop and execute business-wide growth and improvement plans
  • communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management and subordinates
  • lead, evaluate, integrate and support change management and process improvements
  • develop financial performance reporting to support business decision making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Strong business acumen; understands business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition
  • A self-starter; highly motivated; a strong work ethic; ability to promote respect, trust & mobilize organization to fulfill the vision
  • Prior experience with a government contractor or with an aerospace and defense company
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Earned Value Management
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Cobra and Hyperion
  • Master's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
