About the role
- oversee a Business Area headquartered in Clifton, NJ
- accountable for all aspects of financial performance
- earned value reporting and compliance of large complex programs
- on time and accurate submission of financial deliverables (internal and external)
- financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- leading Business Area Annual Operating Plan and the Joint Strategic Plan financial processes
- partnering with the General Manager, Program Managers and functional leadership teams to develop and execute Business Area near term and long term strategy
- ensure cross functional effectiveness
- ensure Business Area adherence to financial policies, practices and procedures
- assess business risk and develop and execute business-wide growth and improvement plans
- communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management and subordinates
- lead, evaluate, integrate and support change management and process improvements
- develop financial performance reporting to support business decision making
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Strong business acumen; understands business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition
- A self-starter; highly motivated; a strong work ethic; ability to promote respect, trust & mobilize organization to fulfill the vision
- Prior experience with a government contractor or with an aerospace and defense company
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Earned Value Management
- Experience with PeopleSoft, Cobra and Hyperion
- Master's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
