About the role
- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support our microservices-based architecture.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of code, testing, and deployment processes.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of production systems, managing incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in the DevOps processes, including access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
- Automate operational tasks, leveraging scripting and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline development, deployment, and operational processes.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in Kubernetes, cloud services, and DevOps methodologies.
- Use knowledge of microservice architectural patterns.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 6-9 years software experience.
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4-7 years of software experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10-13 years of software experience.
- 5+ years Cloud Software Developer with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
- 5 years experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, OpenShift, etc.
- Experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise systems, ideally for Cloud.
- Experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment and using CLI commands and config files to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .
- Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Understanding of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
- Background in software development and understanding of development workflows and methodologies.
