About the role
- Perform advanced concept thermodynamic design of air-breathing engines
- Conduct performance analyses and evaluate the steady state and transient operation of propulsion systems
- Develop and use integrated propulsion system models for sizing, performance, and analysis
- Create and maintain math models of propulsion systems
- Design and test engine control systems and control logic
- Contribute technical analyses to anomaly investigation and resolution teams
- Provide on-site customer technical support for engine ground test coverage and analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance Preferred
- Proficiency in NPSS propulsion performance models, MATLAB/Simulink, ModelCenter, CAD tools, trajectory analysis tools, Python, C/C++, SysML, and FORTRAN
- Experience with engine control system design, test, and analysis
