About the role
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations
- Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS
- Assists in a variety of duties to include sampling, observations, training and inspections
- Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met
- Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist
- Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related EH&S experience
- Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related EH&S experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related EH&S experience
- Experienced in OSHA 1910 General Industry
- Experienced in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry
- Strong knowledge of standards, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI including familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Master’s degree preferred
- Aerospace experience preferred
