About the role

  • Oversee and manage a department that plans and coordinates configuration management of the Quality Management System (QMS) and project documentation
  • Manage the setup of new programs, including the creation of Configuration Management plans and baselines
  • Implement and maintain an Engineering Change Control System, including product improvements, repairs, and new product development
  • Coordinate the configuration data between Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, Contracts, and government customers
  • Ensure baseline and all changes are documented appropriately
  • Act with integrity, ensuring ethical standards characterize everything you do
  • Enable your team to achieve predictable and balanced results
  • Guide your team to deliver excellence and strive for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years prior related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a management role
  • Familiarity with configuration management standards, including EIA-649C
  • Configuration Management certifications (e.g., CDM, CDMP, CMPIC)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a management role
  • Expert knowledge of Configuration and Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes, techniques, tools, related assignments (System, Hardware, Software), and project related work
  • Experience in a leadership role, communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Working knowledge of contract requirements identification, engineering design documentation, and build and test processes
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter PLM and Costpoint ERP applications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to allow effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Good listening skills, builds strong relationships, is flexible/open-minded, negotiates effectively, solicits performance feedback and handles constructive criticism
  • Critical thinking, analytical, able to draw conclusions quickly, open to new ideas, take on new responsibilities, handle pressure, and adjust plans and priorities to changing needs.
