About the role
- Performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management.
- Responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments.
- Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices.
- Use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications.
- Understanding and/or leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
- Conduct technical and programmatic risk assessments.
- Interpret and evaluate engineering problems and statements.
- Use a variety of test and measurement equipment to interpret data.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Read and interpret specifications (also write) and technical drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 4 years of prior Project Engineer experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Project Engineer experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Project Engineer experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other engineering discipline is preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects is highly desired.
- Experience working with manufacturing processes is strongly desired.
- Experience working with Suppliers to meet technical requirements.
- CAD knowledge is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
