About the role
- Provide program Quality Engineering support for assigned contracted programs spanning the lifecycle of the program including design, development, production, test and supplier support.
- Ensure customer requirement flow-down and hardware compliance to specifications.
- Handle and communicate deviations/non-conformances at different levels within the organization and at customer level.
- Prepare comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
- Participate in improvement teams to reduce risk through application of six sigma tools.
- Drive corrective and preventative action activity both in-house and at Supplier.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements and company quality requirements to ensure compliance.
- Participate in design reviews to identify and correct inspectability and producibility issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Advanced degree in a related field
- CQE and/or CSSBB
- APQP and or Zero Defect Planning Experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations
- Must consistently meet commitments.
