About the role
- Manage a team of roughly 8-15 Systems Engineers that provide technical leadership for the CDL Core team.
- Provide life-cycle support of data link systems from conceptual development to product phase-out.
- Include proposal support, requirements analysis/management, task planning, and technical project management assistance.
- Oversee design synthesis in a multi-functional engineering environment and ensure compliance with technical documentation requirements.
- Handle design oversight, build support, test support, repair support, subcontractor control, risk management, and in-house technical support during the operational life-cycle of the system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior or current management / project leadership role experience.
- Minimum of 7 plus years of related Engineering experience.
- Proficient understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in DoD system development processes, documentation, and sustainment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing Earned Value (EVMS) methods to manage cost and schedule performance of technical projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing engineering support for production programs and implementing manufacturing process and yield improvements.
- Understanding of NSA cryptographic certification requirements and processes.
- Experience with Common Data Link (CDL) specifications and capabilities.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition practices and business development environment.
