About the role
- Build, lead, and manage a cross-functional engineering team
- Technical, cost, and schedule accountability for technical program execution
- Manage contract change and all phases of the portfolio from capture to sustaining
- Maintain a climate of fostering a high level of employee motivation, performance, and commitment
- Review and approve estimate to complete (ETCs) of the engineering content of the program
- Represent engineering with major customers and stakeholders through clear communication
- Conduct trade studies to compare different hardware design options
- Perform critical analyses of subcomponents to identify potential issues
- Provide guidance and support to achieve project goals
- Oversee CAM activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of hardware, sub-assemblies, and software
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system design, analysis, and testing
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Lead technical staff members to resolve issues
- Support new business pursuits and proposal cost reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Experience leading development and integration test teams
- Electronic Warfare or Sensor signal processing experience
- Agile software development leadership experience
- Software or Hardware Description Language (HDL) design and development experience
- Earned Value Management experience in both budgeting and schedule planning
- Model-based design experience, preferably with SysML using Cameo Systems Modeler
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
