About the role
- Oversee all phases of program management, from concept to closure
- Serve as primary liaison between Supply Chain Management and other functions for key programs/products
- Manage key supplier performance and relationships
- Lead supplier recovery strategies, communicating critical issues to internal stakeholders with solution-focused actions
- Optimize and manage procurement processes for compliance and efficiency
- Develop comprehensive program plans, including schedule, budgets, staffing, and other plan elements
- Manage programs to achieve program and business objectives
- Monitor program execution, tracking progress against plans and take corrective actions to course correct as necessary
- Manage risks and opportunities to ensure program success
- Act as the primary interface with customers, ensuring alignment and satisfaction
- Provide clear, concise program status updates to both management and customers
- Lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
- Lead proposal preparation to support new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Project/Program Manager
- Alternatively, graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- Experience in Supply Chain and material planning
- Advanced knowledge of Project/Program Management methodologies and practices
- Experience in proposal preparation, including developing cost estimates, schedules, and technical content, to support bids and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and various levels of management
- Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its application
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Must have strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of directing teams toward successful project outcomes
- Up to 20% of travel may be expected.
