About the role
- Development of electromechanical packaging, design and analysis, and environmental testing.
- Modification of existing product, and development of new designs including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), electronics racks, shelters, enclosures for airborne, sea, ground, and space applications.
- Ensure new designs progress according to technical objectives, within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Assist in specification definition, proposal development, and presenting proposed design solutions to customers and management, both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Familiarity with modal analysis, sinusoidal and random vibration, PSD (Power Spectral Density) curves, and SRS (Shock Responses Spectrums).
- Experience with aerostructures both composite and metallic, analytical methods, qualification and regulations typical of DOD customers, strongly preferred.
- Proficient in CAD, GD&T, and drafting standards.
- Experience with Siemens’ NX, preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience with FEA theory (static and dynamic), (ANSYS/SpaceClaim experience preferred, NASTRAN a plus).
- Experience with composite design and analysis a plus.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills (written and verbal) are necessary.
- Exposure to and experience with environmental testing, i.e., shock, vibration, environmental stress screening (ESS).
