About the role
- Provide coordination and technical direction across the Mission Assurance functional area
- Operate in a risk mitigation role for a program or multiple programs
- Ensure 100% mission success of Aerojet Rocketdyne supplied hardware
- Drive mission success through the creation, application, and maintenance of tools
- Ensure objective oversight & risk mitigation during all phases of the product/program life cycle
- Define and coordinate the technical efforts in executing a Systems Engineering approach to Mission Assurance
- Prepare MA program engagement plans in conjunction with program management
- Ensure effective execution of the program's Risk Management process
- Provide in-depth technical assessments of key program issues
- Lead process assessments of program team processes
- Act as primary point of contact for assigned Aerojet Rocketdyne program to the customer's Mission Assurance organization
- Lead and resolve complex technical program and schedule critical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior Quality experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior Quality experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior Quality experience
- Experience collaborating within a Microsoft 365 environment, with proficiency in the included applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Recognized as a MA technical expert with demonstrated leadership role in defining and executing Mission Assurance initiatives
- Demonstrated achievements in providing new capabilities and solving challenging problems
- Demonstrated track record of knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching
- Demonstrated engagement with key professional society technical committees such as AIAA, ASQ, etc. & govt advisory boards (e.g. AF, NASA, MDA MAP/PMAP, etc.)
