About the role
- Manage large, complex project initiatives related to material replacement for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, and production program managers
- Manage all phases of the project management cycle for material replacement initiatives
- Work with supply chain resources to ensure adequate inventory of materials
- Communicate with leadership regarding business area matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Minimum of 12 years of prior related experience, preferably in propulsion or propulsion materials
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of materials
- In-depth knowledge of project management
- Government or industry experience in propulsion Material Obsolescence and Supply Chain risk management
- PMP certification
